Sick Cat
My cat Chloe got sick and I had to take her to the vet. As we all know, cats will not "go potty" if they are not comfortable in their surroundings. Well she had been at the vets almost 1 week and you can imagine how "backed up" she was. Not to mention they had her taking laxatives in an attempt to get a foreign body out of her intestinal track. The foreign body came out and when it was time to take her home I was overjoyed. She was happy to see me. The vet told me she would most likely use the bathroom a lot once she got home and comfortable enough in her own litter box. Little did I know the true bond this cat and I had.
I put her in her carrier and on the front passenger seat so that she could see me and hopefully be more relaxed for the ride home. On the way, I caught a whiff of kitty pee. I figured, that's okay, she had to go and it's all in the carrier. "Good Kitty" I said. "We're almost home". Just as I finished saying this, she turned around, stuck her butt up to the open door of the carrier and proceeded to have projectile diarrhea!! All over my passenger seat, the center console, between the two and ME!!! It must have lasted 2 minutes and the smell, oh my gosh. I was lucky that I didn't drive off the road. I pulled over ASAP and put the poop soaked cat in the trunk. Threw up myself and got back into the car. Rushing home to clean it. I realized when I got home that the cat pee I thought was in the cat carrier had actually spilled out all over the seat!
I did everything I could think of. I cleaned the car with soap and water. Soaking sponges and drenching my seat. Moving the seat up and down and back and forth to get in between it and the console. All the doors are open and the trunk is open .. with the cat still in it "drying off". I run upstairs to get some more towel as it starts to torrential downpour rain outside. NOOOOOOO!!!!!! I don't make it down in time to save anything. The cat is swimming in my trunk, the seats are soaked and I literally have puddles in my car! On top of the cat pee and poop smell, I now have the possibility of mildew, moldy smell. I am so bitter at the point I don't even know what to do with myself.
I make an immediate appointment to have the car professionally cleaned. The soonest they could get me in was 2 days!! I sprayed the car specifically the seat with Febreeze for 2 days. While I am at work, I had to keep the windows up and it was raining. My car sat in the driveway for 2 days and nights in the humidity with the windows up, air tight. Allowing the smell to imbed itself throughout the car and fabric.
My boyfriend suggests that I purchase a $28 bottle or Urine-Off from the vet. Sold with the phrase "It actually works" on it. We tried it as well for 2 days, until the bottle was empty. IT ACTUALLY WORKS MY A$$!!!
I get it cleaned. It smells good and it looks great. You would almost never know what happened. Unfortunately, it came back within 24 hours. It cost me $100!! I continued to clean it and spray it with Febreeze. I put charcoal under the seat, then baking soda. I had like 5 air fresheners in the car and nothing, NOTHING even lessened the stench. It was all I could do to even breathe in my own car. I couldn't take it anymore and started calling junk yards for a new seat. At this point I didn't even care what color it was, I just wanted my seat out. I found one, about 1 hour south of me for $75 and put it on hold. I was so happy that I would finally have this problem taken care of. Unfortunately, I had already paid out $200 to this issue and still had my time and gas money, plus a $50 labor fee to pay before I was done. Taking into consideration the $1000 I put into the cat herself, I had literally broken the bank!
While I was at work, the day before I was scheduled to pick up the seat, I heard a commercial on the radio for Zorbx. It sold at Lowes and Walgreens. Of course everyone I work with knows my situation and on this day, at this particular time, I think Zorbx got record hits on their website. We were all on it. So I figure. what's another $14. Positive that it wouldn't work of course but with a smidge of hope after reading the testimonials.
I bought it that night and sprayed right away. 10 minutes later it still stunk. I sprayed it again. Then again 2 hours later before going to bed. I woke up the next day to go to work and my car DID NOT SMELL!! You could not tell that anything had ever happed to it!! I could not believe it!! I was and still am overjoyed. I wish I knew about Zorbx, I would have saved so much money.
I have to tell you how wonderful your product is. NOTHING beats it and I have told everyone I know about it and where to get it. Congratulations to you and THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
